It’s unquestionably essential that your makeup bag starts with your eyebrow product. Why? You can have nothing else groomed but your eyebrows and you will look effortlessly done. Ahh, sweet music to a harassed, time-poor persons ears.

This is why I’ve been waiting a little while to find the ultimate product to park here in the Motherproject Beauty Cupboard. Others will join it but Anastasia Beverly Hills (reigning queen of eyebrows) Brow Freeze is going to hold the crown, for now.

As I’ve got older my brows have got thinner. Argh. Patchier, erratic and disappointing. I had microblading done over a year ago and I loved it till I didn’t. No regrets, it’s just that they’ve faded now so my brows are thinly growing over a sort of eyebrow template underneath. So I colour them in, brow-gel them up, and then it’s totally fine again. Until it isn’t.

Nothing in the history of brow product seems to be able to keep the hairs feathered and upright for as long as I want them to be (all day please, I don’t have time to look in the mirror more than once a day). And then Brow Freeze launched and, hold the phone, I think they’ve cracked it.

The clear waxy gel comes with a dual ended brush that you paint the product on with (just a tiny bit, can’t feel it), then brush into desired place with the spoolie end. (fun fact, the little thin brush part is called a spoolie)
